Tony Abbott’s trade minister, Andrew Robb is about to jet off to Singapore to negotiate away our democratic rights to make our own laws. He’s meeting with 12 other countries to negotiate the world’s biggest corporate power grab — the Trans Pacific Partnership.
They will be negotiating on everything from restricting internet freedoms to weakening environmental protections. Unfortunately, even that’s not the worst of it. One of the key bits of the TPP is a system of secret courts that will allow the world’s biggest companies to overturn our democratically decided laws.
Tell Tony Abbott and the Coalition to stand up for Australian democracy and reject the TPP corporate wishlist.
